1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Bounty (the "App"), a peer-to-peer task marketplace operated by Bounty-labs registered in Switzerland. Bounty acts exclusively as a broker and technology intermediary, connecting individuals who wish to post short-term tasks ("Posters") with individuals who wish to complete those tasks for compensation ("Taskers"). Bounty is not a party to any arrangement between Posters and Taskers and does not direct, supervise, or control the manner in which tasks are performed.
By downloading, accessing, or using the Bounty mobile application (the "App") or any associated services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Bounty-labs. Please read them carefully before using the App.
1.1 Eligibility
To use Bounty, you must:
If you are using the Services on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
1.2 Account Registration
To access most features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided during registration or thereafter proves to be inaccurate, incomplete, or fraudulent.
1.3 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We strongly recommend that you:
If you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account, you must immediately notify us and change your password. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
2. Description of Services
Bounty is a technology brokerage platform that facilitates connections between Posters and Taskers for the completion of short-term tasks ("Bounties"). Bounty acts solely as an intermediary broker and is not a party to any agreement, arrangement, or transaction between Posters and Taskers.
2.1 Role of Bounty
Bounty provides the technology platform and payment processing infrastructure. As a broker and marketplace intermediary only, we do not:
Taskers are independent individuals acting in their own capacity when completing Bounties. They are not employees, workers, agents, or contractors of Bounty. Posters are private individuals or entities seeking task completion and are not employers of Taskers. The relationship created through the platform is solely between the Poster and the Tasker. Bounty's role is limited to providing the digital infrastructure that enables these connections and processing payments on behalf of the parties.
2.2 Geographic Scope
The App is currently available and operational exclusively within the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, as part of a controlled soft launch. All Bounties must be located within this geographic area during this phase. We reserve the right to expand the geographic scope of our Services to other cantons and regions of Switzerland as the platform grows. Geographic expansion announcements will be communicated through the App.
You may not use the Services outside of the designated geographic area. Any attempt to circumvent geographic restrictions may result in immediate account termination.
2.3 Types of Permitted Bounties
Bounty is designed for short-term, accessible tasks including but not limited to: home services, childcare-related assistance, educational support, pet care, transportation and errands, tech support, cooking and food preparation, wellness activities, business tasks, arts and media, and general tasks.
Important notice regarding regulated activities: Bounty is a platform for general task assistance only. It is not a platform for licensed professional services. In particular, tasks listed under childcare or education categories are intended solely for informal, non-licensed assistance (such as help with homework, supervised play, or general errands involving children) and must not involve activities that require a professional licence, certification, or cantonal authorisation under Swiss law. Taskers must not represent themselves as holding professional qualifications they do not possess.
Posters are responsible for verifying any qualifications they deem necessary for their task before engaging a Tasker. Posters using childcare categories acknowledge that they are solely responsible for verifying any qualifications, conducting background checks where appropriate, and ensuring compliance with cantonal childcare regulations. Bounty accepts no liability in connection with any mismatch between the nature of a task and the qualifications of the Tasker performing it.
All Bounties must comply with applicable Swiss law and our Community Standards set out in Section 7.
2.5 Account Inactivity
Currently, Bounty-labs does not automatically suspend or delete accounts due to inactivity. However, we reserve the right to implement account inactivity policies in the future as the platform evolves.
If we introduce such policies, they will include:
Any future inactivity policy will be communicated to users through updates to these Terms and through notifications in the App. Your continued use of the Services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
We may also suspend inactive accounts for security reasons, such as if we detect suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, or if your account poses a risk to the platform or other users.
If you wish to delete your account voluntarily at any time, you may do so by contacting us at support@bounty-labs.com.
2.6 Platform Availability and Service Interruptions
While we strive to provide reliable and uninterrupted access to the Services, Bounty-labs does not guarantee that the App or Services will be available at all times or that they will be error-free, secure, or free from disruptions.
The Services may be temporarily unavailable due to:
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or discontinue access to the Services, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to:
Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance or service interruptions through the App or by email. However, we may suspend the Services immediately and without notice in cases of emergency, security threats, or where required by law.
You acknowledge and agree that:
If a service interruption prevents you from completing a Bounty or using critical platform functions (such as confirming start or end times), please contact support@bounty-labs.com immediately for assistance. We will assess the situation on a case-by-case basis and may take corrective action, including adjusting timers, cancelling Bounties, or issuing refunds where appropriate.
2.4 Bounty Limitations
Bounty imposes limits on the number of active Bounties a user may have at any given time. These limits are based on user history, ratings, and platform behaviour and may be adjusted at our sole discretion. Limits exist to maintain platform quality and prevent abuse.
3. Communication Between Users
3.1 Profile Information (PocketCV / Mini CV)
Your in-app profile, referred to as your "PocketCV" or "Mini CV" depending on your language settings, is visible to other users when they view your Bounties or consider claiming a task you have posted. This profile is limited to the information you choose to provide, including:
No additional personal information (including your surname, phone number, email address, or precise location) is shared with other users through your profile.
3.2 Direct Messaging and Contact Exchange
As Bounty-labs continues to develop and enhance the platform based on user feedback and preferences, we are evaluating the most effective ways for Posters and Taskers to coordinate task details. While we are building additional in-app features to improve the user experience, we recognize that many users prefer to communicate through messaging platforms they already use daily, such as WhatsApp, iMessage, or SMS.
To accommodate user preferences and facilitate efficient coordination, we have implemented a "Contact" button that becomes available once a Bounty has been claimed and both parties are committed to completing the task. This feature allows direct communication through external messaging services while we continue to develop and refine in-app functionality based on how our community uses the platform.
3.3 How the Contact Button Works
When you tap the "Contact" button:
The contact button is only available for claimed Bounties. It is not available for unclaimed listings or after a Bounty has been completed or cancelled.
3.4 Consent to Share Phone Numbers
By using the Services and specifically by claiming a Bounty (as a Tasker) or having your Bounty claimed (as a Poster), you expressly consent to:
This consent is limited to the specific Bounty in question and is provided for the sole purpose of facilitating task coordination. You may not use the other party's phone number for any purpose unrelated to the Bounty, including but not limited to marketing, solicitation, harassment, or sharing the number with third parties.
3.5 Restrictions on Communication
When communicating with other users, you must not:
Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account suspension or termination and may expose you to legal liability.
3.6 No Liability for External Communications
Bounty is not responsible for any communications that occur outside of the Bounty App through external messaging platforms. Once you initiate contact through SMS, WhatsApp, iMessage, or any other external service:
If you experience harassment, threats, or other misconduct from another user, you should report the behaviour to the relevant messaging platform and, if appropriate, to local authorities. You may also report the user to Bounty at support@bounty-labs.com, and we will investigate in accordance with our Community Standards and may take action including account suspension or termination.
3.7 Future Platform Enhancements
Bounty-labs is committed to continuously improving the Services based on user feedback and evolving needs. As we gather insights from our community about how they prefer to coordinate and communicate, we will introduce additional features and functionality to enhance the platform experience. Any new features, including potential in-app messaging capabilities, will be communicated to users through the App and will be governed by updated terms where necessary.
We value user input in shaping the platform's development. If you have suggestions for features or improvements, please contact us at support@bounty-labs.com.
4. Payment, Fees, and Financial Terms
4.1 Payment Processing
All payments on the Bounty platform are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"), a third-party payment service provider. By using our payment features, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com. Bounty does not store your full card details on our servers.
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment method has sufficient funds available and that your payment information is accurate and up to date. We are not responsible for any fees, charges, or penalties imposed by your bank or card issuer.
4.2 Platform Commission
Bounty charges a platform commission of 16% (sixteen percent) on the payout amount of each successfully completed Bounty. This commission is automatically deducted before payment is released to the Tasker. The commission covers platform operation, payment processing infrastructure, dispute resolution services, and customer support.
4.3 Processing Fees
In addition to the platform commission, a payment processing fee is applied to each Bounty. This fee is calculated as 3% of the payout amount plus CHF 0.30. This fee is charged to the Poster and is included in the total amount displayed before posting. Processing fees are non-refundable except as explicitly stated in these Terms.
The total amount you see when posting a Bounty includes both the payout to the Tasker and all applicable fees. This is the amount that will be charged to your payment method upon successful completion of the Bounty.
4.4 Platform Minimum Wage Standard
Bounty operates a platform minimum payout standard of CHF 20.00 (twenty Swiss Francs) per hour. This standard is set by Bounty as a matter of platform policy and reflects what we consider a fair and reasonable baseline for task compensation. This is our platform policy and is not derived from any federal or cantonal legal minimum wage requirement.
Switzerland does not currently have a federal minimum wage. If we expand to cantons with statutory minimum wages, we will ensure that our platform minimum payout standard meets or exceeds the applicable local legal minimum as a platform requirement. Our current CHF 20.00 standard applies to the Canton of Vaud, where no cantonal minimum wage is currently in force. Bounties that do not meet the applicable platform minimum standard will not be accepted.
4.5 Payment Authorization Holds
One (1) hour before the scheduled start time of a claimed Bounty, Bounty will place an authorisation hold on the Poster's registered payment method for the total amount (payout plus processing fee). This is not an immediate charge but a temporary reservation of funds to:
The authorisation hold remains in place until the Bounty is completed or cancelled. If the Bounty is completed, the hold is converted to an actual charge. If the Bounty is cancelled in accordance with our cancellation policy, the hold is either released or partially captured depending on the circumstances.
If the authorisation hold cannot be placed due to insufficient funds or payment method failure, the Bounty listing will be automatically removed from the platform and the Tasker will be notified. Posting a Bounty without sufficient funds to cover the authorisation hold may result in account restrictions or suspension.
4.6 Payment to Taskers
Upon successful completion and confirmation of a Bounty, the Tasker receives 84% of the posted payout amount. Payments are processed through Stripe Connect and typically arrive in the Tasker's linked bank account within one (1) to five (5) business days. Bounty does not guarantee specific payment timelines as these are subject to Stripe's processing schedules and bank transfer times.
Payouts to Taskers require a verified Swiss bank account (IBAN) connected through Stripe Connect. Taskers must complete Stripe's Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process before receiving payments. This process may require you to provide identification documents, proof of address, and other information as required by Stripe and applicable regulations.
Stripe payouts occur after a minimum balance of CHF 5.00 is reached. If your balance is below this threshold, it will accumulate until the minimum is met.
4.7 Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Cancellation and Penalty policy set out in Section 5. Outside of that policy, all payments are final and non-refundable. In cases of technical error resulting in duplicate charges, please contact support@bounty-labs.com within 48 hours with evidence of the duplicate charge. We will investigate and process refunds for confirmed technical errors within a reasonable timeframe.
4.8 Taxes
You are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling any tax obligations arising from your use of the Services, including income tax, value-added tax (VAT), social security contributions, and any other applicable taxes or duties.
Bounty does not provide tax advice. We recommend that you consult with a qualified tax professional regarding your obligations. Depending on your level of activity on the platform, you may be required to register as self-employed or declare income to Swiss tax authorities.
5. Cancellation, No-Shows, and Penalties
5.1 Cancellation by Poster Before Acceptance
A Poster may cancel a Bounty listing at any time before it has been accepted by a Tasker without incurring any charges. The authorisation hold, if already placed, will be released immediately.
5.2 Early Cancellation by Poster (After Acceptance)
If a Poster cancels a claimed Bounty more than 30 (thirty) minutes before the scheduled start time, the Poster receives a full refund of the total amount held. No penalty is applied. The Tasker receives no compensation.
5.3 Late Cancellation by Poster
If a Poster cancels a claimed Bounty less than 30 (thirty) minutes before the scheduled start time, a penalty of 30% (thirty percent) of the total authorisation hold will be charged. This penalty is distributed as follows:
This penalty exists to compensate Taskers who have reserved their time and may have declined other opportunities in reliance on your Bounty.
5.4 Cancellation by Tasker
A Tasker may cancel a claimed Bounty at any time before the scheduled start time. Cancellation by a Tasker does not result in any financial penalty to the Tasker. However, repeated cancellations may result in strikes being added to the Tasker's account, which may lead to account suspension or termination.
If a Tasker cancels within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time, this may be treated more seriously than earlier cancellations and may result in additional strikes or immediate suspension.
5.5 The 10-Minute Rule
To ensure fairness for both parties, a consistent 10-minute grace period applies to all key actions during a Bounty:
Starting — The Tasker must request the start of the Bounty within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time. Failure to do so results in automatic cancellation and a full refund to the Poster. The Tasker receives no payment and a strike is recorded on their account.
Confirming Start — Once the Tasker requests the start, the Poster has 10 minutes from that moment to confirm. Failure to confirm within this window triggers the 30% late cancellation penalty against the Poster, distributed as described in Section 5.3.
Ending — The Tasker must request job completion within 10 minutes after the scheduled end time (calculated based on the actual start time plus the agreed duration). Failure to do so results in automatic cancellation and a full refund to the Poster. The Tasker receives no payment and a strike is recorded.
Confirming End — Once the Tasker requests completion, the Poster has 10 minutes to confirm. Failure to confirm results in automatic completion and full payment release to the Tasker.
These time windows are strictly enforced to maintain fairness and prevent disputes. Both parties are expected to be responsive during active Bounties.
5.6 Proximity Verification
To ensure that Taskers are physically present at the Bounty location, the App requires the Tasker to be within 200 metres of the specified address before they can request the start of a Bounty. This proximity check uses your device's GPS location and is mandatory.
If you are unable to request the start due to proximity restrictions, you must move closer to the location. Attempting to circumvent this requirement through GPS spoofing or other means is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.
5.7 Adjusted Timings
If the start is confirmed after the originally scheduled time due to the operation of the 10-minute rule, the actual start and end times are adjusted accordingly. This ensures the full agreed duration of the Bounty is always completed. For example, if a Bounty was scheduled to start at 3:00 PM but was not started until 3:05 PM, the end time will be adjusted to 5 minutes later than originally scheduled.
5.8 No-Show by Tasker
If a Tasker fails to request the start of a Bounty within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, they are automatically flagged as a no-show. The Poster receives a full refund of the total authorisation hold. The Tasker receives no payment and a strike is recorded on their account.
Repeated no-shows will result in escalating penalties, including temporary suspension and permanent account termination.
6. Ratings, Strikes, and Account Suspension
6.1 Rating System
After each completed Bounty, both Posters and Taskers are prompted to rate their experience on a five-star scale. Ratings are used to maintain quality standards across the platform and help users make informed decisions when posting or claiming Bounties.
Your rating is calculated as an average of all ratings you have received. Ratings are visible to other users on your profile (PocketCV / Mini CV).
You are encouraged to provide honest, fair, and constructive ratings. Ratings should reflect the actual quality of the experience and should not be used to retaliate, manipulate, or unfairly harm another user's reputation.
6.2 Account Suspension for Low Ratings
Accounts that fall below a rating of 2.0 stars are automatically suspended for a period of one (1) week. During this suspension period, you will not be able to post new Bounties or claim existing ones. You will, however, be able to complete any Bounties that were already in progress at the time of suspension.
Repeat suspensions may result in permanent account termination. If your rating falls below 2.0 stars on multiple occasions, we reserve the right to permanently ban your account from the platform.
You may appeal a rating-based suspension by contacting support@bounty-labs.com with an explanation of the circumstances. We will review appeals on a case-by-case basis, but we are under no obligation to reinstate suspended accounts.
6.3 Strike System
Strikes are recorded on user accounts for the following behaviours:
Accumulation of strikes may result in temporary or permanent account suspension at Bounty's sole discretion. The number of strikes required for suspension varies depending on the severity of the behaviour. Serious violations may result in immediate permanent suspension without prior warning.
6.4 Appeal Process
If you believe a strike has been issued in error, you may appeal by contacting support@bounty-labs.com within 7 days of the strike being issued. Appeals submitted after this deadline may not be considered.
We will review all appeals, but our decision is final. If we determine that a strike was issued correctly, it will remain on your account.
7. Prohibited Conduct and Community Standards
Users of the Bounty platform must not:
Bounty reserves the right to remove any listing, suspend any account, or take any other action we deem appropriate in response to violations of these standards, without prior notice and without liability. We may also report illegal activity to relevant authorities.
8. Intellectual Property
The Bounty name, logo, App, and all content, features, and functionality of the Services (including but not limited to text, graphics, images, software, and data compilations) are the exclusive property of Lucas Merlino (trading as Bounty-labs) and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including Swiss copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not include any right to:
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any part of our Services without our prior written consent.
9. User-Generated Content and Photography
9.1 Profile Photographs
Users may upload a profile photograph to be displayed on their PocketCV / Mini CV. By uploading a profile photograph, you represent and warrant that:
We reserve the right to remove any profile photograph that violates these requirements or that we deem inappropriate, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
9.2 Dispute Evidence and Supporting Materials
When filing a dispute, users may upload photographic or documentary evidence to support their claim. Users may upload up to three (3) images per dispute. By uploading such evidence, you represent and warrant that:
9.3 Licence to Use User Content
By uploading any content to the platform, including but not limited to profile photographs, dispute evidence, task descriptions, reviews, or any other text, images, or materials (collectively, "User Content"), you grant Bounty-labs a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable licence to:
This licence survives termination of your account. However, upon account deletion, we will make reasonable efforts to remove your publicly visible User Content (such as profile photographs) from active display, subject to retention requirements under applicable law and technical limitations (such as cached copies or backups).
9.4 Prohibited Content
You may not upload, post, or share any content that:
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these restrictions, and repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.
9.5 Responsibility for User Content
You are solely responsible for all User Content you upload to the platform. Bounty-labs does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any User Content. We are not obligated to monitor User Content, but we reserve the right to review, moderate, or remove any content at our discretion.
If you believe that any User Content on the platform violates your rights or applicable law, please contact us at support@bounty-labs.com with details of the alleged violation. We will investigate and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.
9.6 Removal of Content
We may remove or disable access to any User Content at any time, with or without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms, poses a risk to users or the platform, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also request removal of your own content by contacting us, subject to our legal retention obligations.
10. Disclaimers and Exclusion of Liability
10.1 Bounty is a Broker and Marketplace Intermediary Only
Bounty is a technology brokerage platform whose sole function is to connect Posters and Taskers. Bounty is not a party to any agreement, arrangement, or transaction between Posters and Taskers. Bounty does not employ or engage Taskers, does not supervise or control how tasks are performed, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, completion, or legality of any Bounty.
All agreements and arrangements are made exclusively and directly between the Poster and the Tasker. Any dispute, loss, damage, injury, or claim arising from a Bounty is a matter exclusively between those two parties. As a broker and neutral intermediary, Bounty bears no responsibility and accepts no liability whatsoever in connection with any such matter.
10.2 Full Exclusion of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE SWISS LAW, BOUNTY AND THEIR RESPECTIVE PERSONNEL, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS EXPRESSLY EXCLUDE ALL LIABILITY OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. BOUNTY MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. BOUNTY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10.3 No Liability for User Disputes
As a broker and neutral intermediary, Bounty has no obligation to intervene in, mediate, or resolve any dispute between a Poster and a Tasker beyond the platform dispute process described in Section 10. Where Bounty does provide a dispute determination, this is provided as a platform governance measure in respect of funds held on the platform only, and does not constitute an assumption of liability or legal responsibility by Bounty in any respect. Bounty's maximum financial exposure in any dispute determination is strictly limited to the funds held by Bounty in connection with the specific Bounty in question.
10.4 Third-Party Services
The Services integrate with third-party platforms and service providers, including but not limited to Stripe for payment processing, messaging applications (SMS, WhatsApp, iMessage), and mapping services. Bounty is not responsible for the performance, availability, privacy practices, or terms of service of any third-party platforms. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
10.5 Limitation of Liability
To the extent that any liability cannot be excluded under applicable Swiss law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the total amount of fees you paid to Bounty in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or CHF 100, whichever is greater.
10.6 Indemnification
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bounty and its respective personnel, agents, affiliates, and service providers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Platform Disputes
In the event of a dispute between a Poster and a Tasker arising from a Bounty, users may file a dispute through the Bounty App. Our team will review all submitted evidence and issue a determination within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 7-14 business days.
To file a dispute, you must provide:
Both parties will be notified of the dispute and given an opportunity to respond and provide their own evidence. We may request additional information from either party during our review.
Bounty's dispute determination is final and binding with respect to any funds held by the platform in connection with the relevant Bounty. As a brokerage platform, we operate our own internal governance process for the release and allocation of platform-held funds, and our determination on this matter is conclusive. Bounty's dispute determination is a platform governance decision only and does not constitute legal advice, arbitration, or a judgment on any underlying legal rights between the parties. Users acknowledge this when accepting these Terms.
Users who believe they have a separate legal claim arising from the underlying transaction between them remain free to pursue such claims through the courts or other legal mechanisms, but this does not affect Bounty's final determination regarding platform-held funds.
Disputes must be filed within 7 (seven) days of the relevant Bounty's completion or cancellation. Disputes filed after this deadline may not be accepted.
11.2 Disputes with Bounty
If you have a dispute with Bounty relating to the Services, these Terms, or any other matter, you agree to first contact us at support@bounty-labs.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve your concerns.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the dispute shall be resolved in accordance with Section 10.3 below.
11.3 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The Swiss Code of Obligations and other applicable Swiss federal laws shall apply where relevant.
11.4 Jurisdiction
Any legal proceedings arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. You irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of these courts and waive any objection to venue.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Swiss law. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence if Swiss law allows.
12. Modifications to Terms
Bounty reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by email to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Services and may terminate your account.
We recommend that you review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates. The date of the most recent revision is indicated at the top of this document.
Minor changes (such as typographical corrections or clarifications that do not materially affect your rights) may be made without notice.
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by Bounty
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without prior notice, where we reasonably consider it necessary to do so — including but not limited to cases involving:
In cases not involving serious misconduct, we will generally endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice where practicable. However, in cases of serious violations or where immediate action is necessary to protect the platform or other users, we may suspend or terminate your account immediately without prior notice.
13.2 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to:
If your account is terminated for violations of these Terms, you may not create a new account or attempt to access the Services using another account without our express written permission.
We reserve the right to retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce these Terms, or comply with legal obligations.
13.3 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@bounty-labs.com with a request to delete your account. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 14 days.
Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination, including outstanding payments, dispute resolutions, or liabilities arising from your use of the Services.
Upon termination, we will delete or anonymise your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, subject to any retention obligations under Swiss law.
14. General Provisions
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bounty regarding the use of the Services and supersede any prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether written or oral.
14.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the intent of the original provision.
14.3 Waiver
No waiver by Bounty of any term or condition set out in these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition. Any failure by Bounty to assert a right or provision under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign, transfer, or delegate our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including to any successor or affiliate.
14.5 Force Majeure
Bounty shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations under these Terms to the extent such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, or failures of telecommunications or internet infrastructure.
14.6 Notices
All notices, requests, or other communications required or permitted under these Terms shall be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given when delivered by email to the address you provided during registration (in the case of notices to you) or to support@bounty-labs.com (in the case of notices to us).
You are responsible for ensuring that your email address on file is current and accurate. We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from your failure to receive notices due to an incorrect or outdated email address.
14.7 Language
These Terms are drafted in English. If these Terms are translated into any other language, the English version shall prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency.
14.8 Relationship of the Parties
Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, agency, employment, or franchise relationship between you and Bounty. You have no authority to bind Bounty or make representations on our behalf.
